ABOUT US

Several years ago, the need to form an Association by Liberians residing in Finland was conceived. Since then, the number of Liberians residing in Finland is increasing. In Liberia there is an on going process of reconstruction from a decade long civil war. Hence, our desire and attempt to strengthen social and cultural ties in building a bridge of friendship and cooperation between Liberia and Finland. It is against this backdrop that we resolve to establish the Finnish-Liberian Friendship Association (FILIFA).

MISSION AND PURPOSE

• To increase cooperation and understanding between Finns and Liberians
• To encourage and promote mutual understanding, unity and peace amongst members.
• To encourage and promote successful integration of all resident members into the Finnish Society.
• To strengthen inter-racial and inter-ethnic relationships of the Association members.
• To circulate and disseminate information relating to Finland and Liberia that would benefit the development of the Association and all of its members.
